Obituary of Richard Louis Boas

Richard Louis Boas, 74, of Long Pond, died Monday, May 30, 2016, at his home. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Louis and Alice (Ormsby) Boas. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War, and was a proud member of American Legion Post 413 in Pocono Pines. He worked as a sales technician and retired from AT&T in 2004 as an account executive. He is survived by one son, Sean Boas and his wife, Kim, of Long Pond; his daughter, Ann Dean and her husband, James, of Long Valley, New Jersey; six siblings: Steve, Phillip, Sheila, Mary, Kevin and Elizabeth; three grandchildren: James Dean III, Alexandra Dean and Samantha Boas; and many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Bridget Boas. Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
