Obituary of Ellen Hubbs

Ellen Hubbs, 72, of Tobyhanna, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late William A. Hubbs III, with whom she shared over 40 loving years. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Sally (Aldino) Baker. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Ellen adored the time she spent with her family, including her grand-dogs. She had a passion for baking and cooking and enjoyed crafts and baking with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: April Pollack and her husband, Peter, of Rockaway, New Jersey; Kerri Chamberlain and her husband, Dennis, of Port Richey, Florida; Bill Hubbs and his wife, Denise, of Odessa, New York; Stephen Hubbs and his wife, Allison, of Neola; Linda Hoefer and her husband, Michael, of Carlsbad, California. Also, brother, Steve Baker; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from to 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 13 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Pastor Ed Walls will conduct a blessing service at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
