Obituary of Carol Anne Orleski
Carol Anne (Miller) Orleski, of Cresco, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 18, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer. She was 74.
She was born on April 18, 1942 in Harrisburg to the late Esther (Grim) and Robert Miller. She grew up in Schuylkill County before pursuing a career as a medical secretary at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Carol married John Orleski on November 1, 1968 and they made a home in Cresco, where they raised three children. She worked for many years in the cafeterias of the Pocono Mountain School District.
Carol enjoyed knitting, crocheting and other crafts. She was most well-known for knitting Christmas stockings for family and friends. She was a member of the knitting club at Barrett Friendly Library and the Willing Workers of Paradise Township. Carol was also a member of St. Mary of the Mount Roman Catholic Church in Mount Pocono, which is now Most Holy Trinity Parish.
In addition to her husband, John Orleski of 47 years, she is survived by a son, Michael Orleski of Dallas, twin daughters, Joanne Ackers and her husband, Daniel of Scotrun, and Suzanne Kuehner and her husband, Michael of Saylorsburg; a grandson, Landon Kuehner also of Saylorsburg ; brother Robert Miller, Jr. and his wife, Ellen of Bristol, Tennessee as well as several nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Dana Koch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately.
