Obituary of Gary A. Slinger
Gary A. Slinger, 60, of Canadensis, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.
He was the loving husband of Andrea (Klukoszowski) Slinger, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
Born in Little Falls, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Howard and Jean (DeYoung) Slinger.
Gary lived in the Poconos for 29 years and was a self-employed plumber. He operated Slinger Enterprises Inc. alongside two of his brothers. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his five grandchildren: David, Isla, Caleb, Malin and Wyatt.
In addition to his wife, Andrea, he is survived by his sons: Michael Slinger of Canadensis and Gary Slinger Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland; his daughters: Kimberly Hunt and her husband, Aaron, of Finksburg, Maryland, and Jennifer Skae and her husband, David, of Carbondale; his brothers, Roger Slinger and his wife, Margaret; Dennis Slinger; Joseph Slinger and his wife, Deborah; Howard Slinger and his wife, Arlene; and Steven Slinger and his wife, Karen; his sisters: Linda Hulme and her husband, Robert, and Lori Washenik and her husband, Gratz; five grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Sadie.
There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Pastor Kenneth Cathcart will conduct a memorial service at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
