Obituary of Robert M. Romagnolo

Robert M. Romagnolo, 50, of Cresco, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Christine (Myers) Romagnolo, with whom he shared 30 loving years. Born on April 15, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of Jean (Steckler) Romagnolo of Cresco and the late Robert Romagnolo. An integral part of the community, he was president and coach for PMELL for more than 12 years. He served on the Parks and Recreation Board, as well as the Pocono Area Recreation Commission. Rob loved talking to anyone, anywhere, about anything. He was a diehard New York Jets fan, and he enjoyed every football Sunday more than the last. He loved his dogs, and his sons were the absolute center of his universe. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his brother, Daniel Romagnolo; two sons, Robert George and Joseph Daniel Romagnolo; his nephews, John and Nicholas Romagnolo; his niece, Maria Romagnolo; and cherished friends who are as close as family, the Balogh and Volpicelli families. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 22, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A blessing service will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
