Obituary of James Shepley

James F. Shepley, 91, of Scotrun, died on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at his home. He was the loving husband of Gertrude (Caravelli) Shepley. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Fletcher and Emily Shepley. James was a graduate of the Girard College in Philadelphia class of 1938. A veteran of the United States Army and having served during WWII, James worked as a machinist before and during the war. He later changed his career and retired in 1976 as an Insurance Investigator for Equifax. James lived everyday to the fullest and will be deeply missed. In addition to his wife, Gertrude, he is also survived by a son: Kenneth Shepley and his wife Christina of Philadelphia; two step daughters: Sheila Earhart and her husband Sam of Carlisle, Brenda Bell and her husband Richard of Canadensis; three step grandchildren: Samuel, Shaun, Seth Earhart; and two step great-grandchildren: Ava and Luke Earhart. He was preceded in death by a sister Grace. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
