Obituary of Patrick Rafter

Patrick J. Rafter, 71, of Pocono Lake, died on Saturday, January 31, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Lucy (Dona) Rafter. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of Concettia (Mastriano) Rafter and the late Patrick Rafter. He worked in the construction industry as a project manager for many years and was also a member of the Coolobaugh Township Zoning Board and the Board of Directors at Arrowhead Lake. In addition to his wife and mother, he is also survived by three sons: Patrick Rafter of Esopus, NY, James Rafter of New York, NY, Thomas Rafter of New Rochelle, NY; and two grandchildren: Courtney and Jonathan Rafter. He was preceded in death by a son: Robert; his first wife: Virginia and his father Patrick. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 3 from 2-4 and 7-8:30pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Cresco. A graveside service will be held later in the week at Cemetery of the Resurrection in Staten Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
