Obituary of Martin Leo Bellone

Martin Leo Bellone, 76, of Pocono Pines, died on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Ellicott) Bellone. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Martin and Aune (Himmanen) Bellone. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Martin cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After retirement, Martin spent his glory years with Patricia traveling the United States, making it a point each year to visit his favorite place, South Dakota, each year to watch the buffalo roundup. In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his daughters: Patricia Bellone, Christine Bellone and her companion, James Tartamella, and Michelle Aragona and her husband, Robert; a sister, Patricia Pates; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Eileen Aragona, and Erin Bellone; and his beloved pal, Nipper. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Easop and a brother, Garrett Bellone. There will be calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at McLaughlin and Sons Funeral Home, 9620 Third Ave., Brooklyn, New York. There will be an 10 a.m. Mass on Saturday, Sept. 10, at St. Patrick’'s RC Church, 9511 Fourth Ave., Brooklyn, New York. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
