Obituary of Gina Carchesio

Gina A. Carchesio, 52, of Philadelphia, formerly of Pocono Lake, died Thursday, September 22, 2016. She was the loving companion of the late Richard Rogoshewski Jr., who passed away in 2009. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Elisa Carchesio of New Jersey. Gina was a retired bus driver for Pocono Mountain School District. She was a double major at Cedar Crest College for psychology and criminal justice and was close to completing all required credits to earn her degree. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, and crocheting, as well as spending time at the beach and gardening. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters: Jilliane Saiya and her husband, Richard of Brighton, CO, Mandi Dobek and husband John of Tobyhanna, and Deven Rogoshewski and her husband Jamal Hill of Philadelphia; sister, Michele Carchesio of Brick, NJ, and grandchildren: Luciana, Vincenzo, Carson, Zackery, Courtney and Sofia Rose. There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 26, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco, PA 18326. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave. Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, California 90266.
