Obituary of Charles Reeder

Charles Reeder, 103, of Cresco, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Spring Village at Pocono in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Madeline (Duscher) Reeder, sharing 75 years of marriage in June. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Louis and Charlotte Reeder. Charles was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for the Redevelopment Authority in Philadelphia and in East Stroudsburg. After retirement, he owned and operated a fencing company in the Poconos. He was of the Catholic faith and a former member of St. Bernadette's in Canadensis. In addition to his wife, Madeline, he is survived by his children, Charles Reeder and his wife, Marsha of Philadelphia, Madelyn Storelli of Cresco, and Lynda Reeder of Cresco; grandchildren, Stephen, Christopher, and Allison Reeder. There will be a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A blessing service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 237 East Brown Street, East Stroudsburg, Pa 18301. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
