Obituary of Sammy Rutkowski

Sammy Rutkowski, 12, of Tobyhanna, died Friday, November 18, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Tannersville. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of Galina (Dmitrieva) Rutkowski of Tobyhanna and the late Thomas Rutkowski. Sammy attended Pocono Mountain West Junior High School. He was a very cheerful, happy little kid who tried to make the best out of all situations and would often try making jokes to cheer people up. Sammy loved video games - Call of Duty was his favorite, which he enjoyed playing with his older brother Aleksey. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Michelle Rutkowski of Tobyhanna; his brother, Aleksey Dmitrieva of Tobyhanna, and his Grandmother Tatyana Stafeeva of Russia. There will be a visitation Wednesday, December 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kalahari Resort Convention Center, 250 Kalahari Blvd, Pocono Manor, Pa. Chaplain Kevin Correll will conduct a funeral service at 8 p.m. at the convention center. Burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by The Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Rd. Cresco, Pa.
