Obituary of John Edward Fischer

John Edward "Jack" Fischer, Jr., 63, of Pocono Pines, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Pocono Health System Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of June Fischer of Pocono Pines and the late John E. Fischer, Sr. Jack was a graduate of Pocono Mountain High School and a proud Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He retired from the Tobyhanna Army Depot where he was an Electronic Repairman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Janice Smith and her husband, James of Pocono Pines; niece, Shawna Smith of Philadelphia; nephew, Andrew Smith of Pocono Pines and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be private. Cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salem United Church of Christ, PO Box 1947, Pocono Pines, Pa 18350.
