Obituary of Mary Covine Baltes

Mary Covine Baltes, 66, of Blakeslee, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Celtic Hospice in Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Dover, New Jersey, she was a daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Jusko) Covine of Toms River, New Jersey.

Mary Elizabeth, graduated from Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre and the Philadelphia Institute for Paralegals in Philadelphia. She worked for Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald in Wilkes Barre, as Corporate Paralegal and then for Frontier Phone Company in the Legal Department. Mary also was a part-time professor at Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, where she taught Paralegal courses. She was of the Catholic faith and served on the St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish Church Council.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sons, Michael R. Baltes and Nicholas Daniel Baltes of Blakeslee; brother, Daniel Covine of Barnegat, New Jersey; sisters, Stephanie Tinfo of North Carolina, and Joanne Gallow of Toms River, New Jersey.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Pocono Pines.

Private cremation was entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
