Obituary of Albert E. Enoch, III

Albert Edward Enoch III, 81, of Pocono Pines, formerly of Randolph, NJ, passed away at home on Friday, January 6, 2017. Mr. Enoch was born on May 6, 1935 in Bethlehem, son of the late Albert Edward Enoch, Jr. and Margaret (Roth) Enoch. Al was a Lehigh University graduate and member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He began his career in the insurance industry at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, where he went on to become an Assistant Vice President, earned his CPCU and was honored as the of National Sales Manager of the Year. At the end of his career he worked with the James E. Gilmore Insurance Agency as an Account Executive. He served his country in the U.S Army as Sergeant in the Counter Intelligence Corp. for two years, including a year in Korea. Al also served the Randolph, NJ community as a member or the Parks and Recreation Committee, the Planning Board, the Town Council and later as its Mayor. Throughout his life he was engaged in many community organizations, including being a former Master of Minsi Masonic Lodge 733, the Kiwanis Club and the Lions Club. He was actively involved in all his children’s lives; coaching baseball, basketball and soccer. He loved vacationing in Cape Cod, MA for over 45 years, was an active golfer and bowler, and an avid fan of the Lehigh “Engineers,” the Philadelphia Eagles and the Oakland A’s. The joy of his life was watching his children, and then his grandchildren, grow, develop and achieve their many accomplishments. Survivors include his beloved wife, Linda (Lehner) Enoch of Pocono Pines; sons: Jason Enoch and wife, Kristan, of Waxhaw, NC; Stephen Enoch of Monterey, MA; and daughters: Rachael Moore and husband, Bob of Mickleton, NJ; Rebecca Swope and husband, Matt of Morris Plains, NJ; grandchildren: Kyle, Kendall, Kali, Peter, Elisabeth, Amanda, Emily, Joseph, Erin and Philip; and sister, Susan Grayer and husband, Jack. A private family celebration of life service will be later in the year. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
