Obituary of Enrico Staiano

Enrico Staiano, 68, of Pocono Lake, died Tuesday, January 17 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Emma (Magaly) Rivera. Born in Angeola, Italy, he was the son of Raffaela and Jennie (Amendola) Staiano. Enrico was self-employed in the food service and merchandising industry. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed playing Canasta with them. In addition to his wife, Emma, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Staiano-Magistrado of Washington, NJ; Paula Benke and her husband, Robert of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Connie Terlizzi of Long Pond; four step-children, Yaharia Roman, Yolanda Roman, Pedro Roman, and Carlos Velez, all of Newark, NJ; mother-in-law Rosalia Calderon; fourteen grandchildren, Thomas and Claudia Benke, Julianne Staiano-Magistrado, Melvin S. Roman, Yorelys Ponce, Curtis Zino, Juwan Roman, Joshua Velez, Lise Velez, Carlos Velez, Jeremy Velez, Tiffany Roman, Jabiel Roman, and Javen Roman; one great-grandchild, Sanaya Zeno and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Antoinette Bascotti, Marie Lelinho, and Joann Steinfels. There will be a viewing on Friday evening, January 20 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bolock Funeral Home in Cresco, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Mount Church, 27 Fairview Avenue in Mt. Pocono. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
