Obituary of Richard Beck

Richard Beck, 80, of Canadensis, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home. Born in Germany, he was a loving son of the late Curt and Maria (Burger) Beck. He grew up in Barrett and attended Barrett Township Consolidated School. Richard was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and served from 1963 to 1965. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Brown University in Rhode Island as well as his Master's Degree in Mathematics from Purdue University in Indiana. Richard retired from the Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey after 25 years. He was a lover of books and nature and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his brother, Rolf Beck and his wife, Barbara of Beach Lake. There will be no services at this time. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
