Obituary of Victoria Karvetski

Victoria L. Karvetski, 80, of Pocono Summit, died on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the late Demetro Karvetski, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Haubens) Scarola.

Victoria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister. She raised her children in Commack, NY, where she also coached soccer for six years. In 2000, she and Demetro retired to the Pocono Mountains. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching sports and doing crafts.

She is survived by her son: Demetro Karvetski, and his wife, Jennifer, of Pocono Summit; daughters: Victoria D’Agostino and her husband, Robert, of Brentwood, NY, and Kerstin Karvetski and her husband, Mark Butler, of Rhinebeck, NY; brother: Ernest Scarola and his wife, Georgianna, of Westbury, NY; brother-in-law: Walter Karvetski and his wife, Florence, of Hilton Head, NC; sisters-in-law: Rose Scarola of Lake Grove, NY, and Carol Bogdan and husband, Joseph, of Apex, NC; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Demetro, she was preceded in death by her brother Paul Scarola.

Services will be held at a later date.
