Obituary of Zinnia Bonifacio

Zinnia Bonifacio, 47, of Cresco, died unexpectedly, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital Monroe in Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of James Bonifacio.

Born in Ottawa, Canada, she was the daughter of Lovy and Ofelia (Bautista) Aldana of Ottawa.

Zinnia was the definition of a tireless "Supermom". Whether her home was filled with the boys' friends and teammates after a soccer game, newly acquired furniture to restyle with her Bonilove, or a fresh batch of macarons and chocolate chip cookies, you could always sense the warmth she offered as you passed through the front door. As if being all that wasn't enough, she was also "Team Mom" for the Pocono Mountain East Boys High School soccer team.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Cavin and Braden Bonifacio of Ottawa, Canada and Trey, Graysen and Keygan Bonifacio of Cresco; brothers, Derek Aldana and his wife, Renee and their son, Jacob of Vancouver, Canada, Eric Silkstone and his wife, Lindsay and their children, Logan and Elliette of Ottawa, as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road. Reverend Father John Boyle will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, at St. Ann's Church, Main Street, Tobyhanna. Burial will follow at Keokee Chapel Cemetery, Cresco.
