Obituary of Rosemary McKeefery

Rosemary (one word) McKeefery (nee McCarthy), 80, of Scranton died on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Hospice Community Care in Dunmore, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband James McKeefery. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 27, 1931. Rosemary worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in New York City and was a school Crossing Guard for 25 years. She relocated to Scranton PA in December 2009. Rosemary was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and an avid member of the ladies guild. Aside from spending time with family she enjoyed crocheting, bowling, the senior center and reading paperback love stories. She is survived by her two daughters: Deborah Corson and her husband Douglas of Pocono Lake, Karen Vindigni and her husband Peter of Pocono Lake; and her grandchildren: James, Melissa, Christie, Jeff, Danielle and Samantha. A special thanks to all of the staff at Allied Terrace for their loving care. The wonderful nurses at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart and Hospice Community Care There will be a viewing from 2-4 pm and from 7-8 pm on Friday, January 27 at the Bolock Funeral Home, route 940 in Cresco. A Mass will be held at on Saturday, January 28 at 10:30 am at St. Columba Catholic Church in Brooklyn, NY. Private burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery.
