Obituary of Helenmarie Kearney

Helenmarie Kearney, 79, of Cresco, died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospice-Pocono in East Stroudsburg.

Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy (Newcombe) Marr.

Helenmarie was executive secretary for 30 years at Pocono Mountain High School and retired in 2004. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Most Holy Trinity Parish.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Kearney of Cresco and Linda Kearney of Coco Beach, Florida; son, James Kearney and his wife, Carolyn, of Allentown; sister, Marilyn Watson and her husband, James, of Lake Ariel; grandchildren, Brandon, Breana, Dana, and Christopher; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Helenmarie was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Mader.

There will be a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15 at the Villa of Our Lady, 245 Meadowside Road, Mount Pocono. Rev. Fr. Gregory Loughney will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Villa.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
