Obituary of James H. Seese

James H. Seese, 87, of Canadensis, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Gardens at Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre. He was the loving husband of Frances (Brush) Seese, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mindy (Alsomers) Seese.

James was a proud Veteran of the United States Marines and served as a Machine Gunner during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed stone mason who took great pride in his work. James was caretaker for nearly 40 years at Lake in the Clouds. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Steve, Dave, and Dan Seese all of Canadensis; brothers, Stanley, Newt, and Brian Seese; sister, May Bennett; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicky Hixon and brother, Bill Seese.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
