Obituary of Dorothy Quirino

Dorothy Quirino, 90, of Tobyhanna, died peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2017, at The Gardens for Memory Care in Easton. She was the loving wife of the late Louis F. Quirino who died in 1991.

Born in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mable (Haines) Frato.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and a good game of bingo. She also loved music and any opportunity to dance.

She is survived by her daughters: Bernadette Anglada of Tobyhanna, Fran Johnston and her husband, Michael, of New Jersey, and Toni Quirino of Tobyhanna; brother, Fred Quirino and his wife, Josephine, of Long Island, New York; five grandchildren: Jody, Michael, Jason, Christopher and Alyssa; and two great-grandchildren, Marissa and David.

There will be a viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, New York.
