Obituary of Milton James Pratt

Milton James Pratt, 71, of Cresco, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Debra A. Pratt.

Born in Manhattan, New York, he was a son of Ernestine Pratt of Brooklyn, New York and the late Archie Pratt.

Milton was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, having served 3 tours in Vietnam. He worked for the City of New York as a corrections officer at Rikers Island Correctional Facility and retired in 1999. He was also an Eagle Scout Senior Patrol Leader.

 Milton was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who adored his family and the memories that they made. He loved music and found any reason to dance. He enjoyed working with his hands and would spend hours in his garden. When it was time to relax you could find him reclining and watching his favorite television shows.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by 13 children and 15 grandchildren; brother, Jonathan Pratt of Brooklyn, New York; sister, Inez Scott of Brooklyn, New York.

There will be a viewing from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, August 11  at Bolock Funeral Home 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco.  A service will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
