Obituary of Margaret L. Doerflein

Margaret L. Doerflein, 94, of Scotrun, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at home. She was the loving wife of the late Harold Doerflein, Sr.

Born in Raritan Township, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Meeker) Riley.

Margaret was employed with Westinghouse Electric for 30 years and retired in 1985. She moved to the Poconos in 1988. Margaret was of the Catholic faith and a member of Our Lady of Victory in Tannersville.

She is survived by her son, Harold Doerflein and his wife, Barbara of Scotrun; sister, Ann Asaro of Clifton, New Jersey; grandchildren, Meredith Dabney and her husband, Louis of Catasauqua, and Jacqueline Hudson of Henryville; four great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Kiannah, Gavin, and Donovan; and many nieces and nephews.  Margaret was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Doerflein.

There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 13 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Reverend Father Richard Czachor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, August 14 at Our Lady of Victory, 327 Cherry Lane Road, Tannersville. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Ave., Bloomfield, New Jersey.
