Obituary of Doris Nauman

Doris Nauman, 95, of Mount Pocono, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the late William Nauman.

Born in Mt. Pocono, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Blanche (Adams) Franklin.

Doris was a charter member of Pocono Community Church, and for 33 years played the piano at the former Paradise Valley Assembly of God, now Innovations Church. In addition, she shared her creative spirit through her painting, cross stitching and bead crafting, and writing of many devotional reflections.

She is survived by her son, William O. Nauman, and wife, Barbara of Mount Pocono, with whom she resided; brother, Reverend Richard Franklin and wife, Margaret of Rochester, New York; sister, Ellen Blackwell of  Migdal, Israel; grandchildren, James, Jodean, and Waylon; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Jackson, Amelia, Robert, Christian, Trista, and Tarys; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Jean Franklin, and brothers Llewellyn and Harold Franklin.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, September 1 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A service will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Keokee Chapel Cemetery, Cresco.
