Obituary of James B. Pierce

James B. Pierce, 72, of East Stroudsburg, formerly of Cresco and Canadensis areas, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at home.

Born in Franklin, New Jersey, he was a son of the late James and Alice (Bonker) Pierce.

A proud Veteran of the United States Army, James served during the Vietnam War. In his working career he was a heavy equipment mechanic.

He is survived by his son, James Pierce, Jr. and his wife, Heather of East Stroudsburg; daughters, Melissa Gunderman and her husband, David of Newton, New Jersey, and Lisa Winters of Blairstown, New Jersey; brother, Ray Pierce of Newport Richie, Florida; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 14 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 12:30 p.m.  Monday, September 18 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
