Obituary of Guillermo Rivera
Guillermo "Bill" Rivera, 65, of Tobyhanna, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 10, 2017. He was the loving husband of Patricia (McCue) Rivera, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.
Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Tomas and Paula (Lopez) Rivera.
He was a resident of the Poconos for nearly 30 years and was the proprietor of the Tobyhanna Citgo gas station before founding Bill and Sons Landscaping. He took great pride in his family and loved nothing more than surrounding himself with them and enjoying their company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Jason Rivera and William "Billy Jr." Georges; daughters: Paula Rivera-Ainge, Joy Rivera, and Bridget Rivera; two brothers; two sisters and 13 grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly, four brothers, and one sister.
A celebration of life will be held from 12 till 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
