Obituary of Lela Dennis

Lela H. Dennis, 94, of Pocono Summit, died on February 6, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Manor, in Hamilton Township, where she had resided for the past 10 years. She was the loving wife of the late Earl H. Dennis. Born on December 21, 1917 in Pocono Summit she was the daughter of the late Dortha H. Faircloth. Lela was a member and volunteer of the Mount Pocono United Methodist Church and was active within the community. She was loved and respected by all. She spent her entire life loving the Lord, her family, her church family and everyone she came into contact with. She is survived by loving family members. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald E. Faircloth and Joseph D. Faircloth; one sister: Miriam C. Miller. Rev. Dr. Stanley Menking will conduct a funeral service on Friday, February 10 at 11:00 am at the Bolock Funeral Home, route 940 in Cresco. Private burial will take place at St. Paul's Cemetery in Swiftwater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mount Pocono United Methodist Church, 12 Church Ave. Mt. Pocono, PA 18344.
