I remember Mr Watto as our wrestling coach. On one occasion a much larger student was roughing me up in the locker room and Mr Watto "intervened" on my behalf. Happened back in the 70s but still remember him. He was a real stand up guy. Condolences to family and friends.

The Davison Family: Our family offers our prays at the loss of such a fine person. I remember Coach Watto fondly during my high school days at Pocono Mountain High. I (John Davison) had the pleasure of meeting Coach Watto just last year, after many years since leaving Pocono Mountain High as a young man while paying my respects to Mrs Hazel Miller (my first grade teacher). He was mowing the grounds at the cemetary. I didn’t know it was him when he stopped his mower and asked if he could help me, as I looking for Mrs. Miller’s grave. When I realized it was him and I identified myself, we had a wondereful chat about that time, what and who I turned out to be. It was wonderful to see him after so many years. May the Lord take you into his hands, as I know there is a beautiful place for you in his kingdom. May you rest in peace Coach Watto. John P Davison

To Ed and the whole Watto family, I'm so very sorry to hear about your dad. He always had a smile for me during the hallways of Pocono Mountain High school. Years later I had a smile for him at his bank and we always reminisced about those days. I will miss his smile and kind words.

So sorry to hear the passing of coach Watto. He was a great man who loved Pocono Mountain, the community and beyond. He was a great motivator and leader. I will always cherish the memories I have of coach Watto during my Cardinal wrestling years.
I can Still hear coach Watto on the bench during a dual meet yelling " use it" when I had an opponent in a pinning move.
