Obituary of Michael Valentine Sabon, III

Michael Valentine Sabon III, 58, of Swiftwater, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at his home. He was the loving husband of Donna (Coia) Sabon, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Michael and Joan (Carroll) Sabon.

Michael graduated from Polytechnic University of New York for chemical engineering. He worked for several companies, including Aviva DDS, Von Roll, Pamarco, and Polychrome. Michael enjoyed being in the kitchen and was an exceptional cook and baker. He had a love for music, and was a huge Bob Dylan fan. Michael enjoyed playing poker and craps.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Daniel, Ryan and Michael Sabon; sister, Cheryl Gress; and in-laws, nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his brothers, Peter and Christopher Sabon.

There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Reflections will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Private cremation is entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
