Obituary of Marie J. Carlo

Marie "Chickie" "MaMa" Carlo, 74, of Tannersville, died unexpectedly, Monday, October 30, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital -Monroe in Bartonsville. She was the loving wife of the late Howard "Lefty" J. Carlo, whom passed away in 2013.

Born in New York City, New York, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Catherine (Lombardo) Totaro.
Marie, affectionately, known as "Chickie" and "MaMa", adored her children and grandchildren. You would often find her filming memories with her video camera. She enjoyed being in the kitchen and loved to cook, especially for her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters: Catherine Bittlingmeyer and her husband, John and Laura Carlo, all of Tannersville; a brother: Lawrence Totaro and his wife Joann of Las Vegas, NV; a sister in law; Laura Neglia of Deer Park, NY;  grandchildren: Michael Strouse Jr. and wife, Brittany, Anthony Strouse and his wife, Alison, Gregory Oney, Jessica Oney and Katie Bittlingmeyer; nieces and nephews: Philip Adams, Nicole Adams, Matthew Totaro, Lauren Totaro, Lawrence T. Totaro and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Neglia.

There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.  Friday, November 3 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Reverend Father Richard Czachor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 327 Cherry Lane Road, Tannersville. Entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
