Mildred Hereda

Obituary of Mildred Hereda

Mildred Hereda, 93, of Swiftwater, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at home.

Born in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Sokoloski) Grzimala.

Mildred enjoyed bingo and was an avid knitter. She was an excellent baker and cook, who was known for her homemade pierogies, pizzelles, and pumpkin rolls. "Nana" always enjoyed life, bringing joy and laughter to all who met her.  Whether she was dancing, hugging, or laughing, she celebrated all the special times with her family. She was her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's biggest fans in all they do; always there to cheer them on and tell them how proud she was of each one. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone, especially her family.

She is survived by her children, Andrea Jenkins and her husband, Rev. Ed Jenkins II of Ocala, Florida, Susan Hereda of Charlotte, North Carolina; son-in-law, David Shutter and his wife, Sue of Glenshaw; granddaughters, Kate Lee and her husband, Brian of Swiftwater, Janelle Cugliari and her husband, Mike of Valencia, and Amber Lepic of Glenshaw; grandsons, Edward Jenkins III and his wife, Tricia of Seven Fields, and Tim Jenkins of Tannersville; great-grandchildren, Emma, Amanda, Molly, Gianna, Michael, Edward, Erin, Shannon, and Emilie.

There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 5 at Union Cemetery in Arnold, Pa.
