Obituary of David Klesh

David Klesh, 78, of Cresco, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the loving husband of Diana Klesh, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Henry and Violet (Matz) Klesh.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, David served during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Alma White College in Zarephath, New Jersey, receiving his bachelor’s degree in education. He later would attend Kean College in Union, New Jersey, receiving his master’s degree in education. David was an educator at Byram Township School in Stanhope, New Jersey, for 30 years, after which he would open and operate Warsex Maintenance Corp. in Warren, New Jersey.

David spent the last 34 years in the Poconos and was a member of Gideon’s International. He also volunteered 15 years doing missionaries in Costa Rica.

In addition to his wife, Diana, he is survived by his daughters: Deanna Othmer and her husband, Richard, of West Palm Beach, Florida; Deborah Ukaj and her husband, Sam, of Henryville; daughter-in-law, Karlyn Webb Klesh of Long Pond; sister, Elaine Rothbauer of Philadelphia; grandchildren: Logan and Olivia Othmer, Frankie Calvosa, Driton and Ariana Ukaj, and Ryder and Talon Klesh. David was preceded in death by his sons, David and Daniel Klesh.

There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Matt Fisher will conduct a service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
