Obituary of Dolores J. Baruka

Dolores J. Baruka, 83, of Tobyhanna, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Grace Park Senior Living in Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of George Baruka.

Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, she was the daughter of August and Julia (Malejko) Zukowski.

During Dolores' younger years she enjoyed polka dancing, where she met and fell in love with her now husband, George. They shared 31 years of marriage, and enjoyed going on cruises and traveling the world together. Dolores was an accountant for 40 years and worked for Mel Cohen in Jersey City, New Jersey. Dolores lived in the Poconos for 25 years and was a member of the Pocono Farms Women's Club, the Red Hats Club in Pocono Lake, and the VFW Post #4488 in Pocono Farms. She was of the Catholic faith and member of St. Ann's Church in Tobyhanna.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed and Chett Zukowski.

There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 4 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A blessing service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is private.
