I just learned of Johns passing. My deepest sympathy’s. I lived next door to Harpers in West Orange, NJ in the 60’s. I was a few years younger than John but our Passion for Baseball, Neil Sedaka, and model cars brought us together. I have so many memories of John, Susan, and Sally and of course Brud and Janet.
I have left my email address. Hopefully someone can contact me.

Dear Jean and family,
I feel so lonely knowing John is gone, but am so grateful for the time I had, during the past 10 years, to spend with him. I have such great memories of camping with John and his family and friends. I thought I was too old, but John insisted and made me feel that he really wanted me to be there. That was John, always trying to make everyone else feel welcomed and cared for. He was one of the kindest people I have ever known and I will miss him terribly. I do know how much John loved his family. You were all the most frequent topic of our conversation, along with his dogs and my dogs. He loved all animals and both Maggie and Kooper loved him, I'm sure as did his own pets.
I'm afraid I am unable to attend on Sunday as I have been unable to find anyone who is able take over for me at work. But, know that my heart will be there with you all and hope when you are in Ticonderoga, in the future, you will stop by to see me.
Love, Pat
