Obituary of Theodore Staton

Theodore L. Staton, Jr. 58, of Tobyhanna, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital - Monroe Campus in Bartonsville. He was the loving husband of Adrienne (OuBichon) Staton.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was a son of Theodore L. Staton, Sr. of Virginia and the late Mildred (Johnson) Staton.

He graduated for Vailburg High School in Newark, New Jersey. After graduation, Theodore joined the United States Marine Corps. He and Adrienne met in 1982, and they married on July 17, 1991. Theodore and Adrienne renewed their vows on May 7, 2010.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Raymund Ellis, Amethyst Ritchie-Staton, Antoinette Ritchie- Staton, Alexandria Ritchie-Staton, and Erica Marie Jackson; brothers: Dewayne Staton, and Gonzalas Johnson; sisters: Lynette Harvey(Gregory), Jeanette Reed and Theresa Taylor; mother-in-law, Kathleen OuBichon; sister-in-laws, Sharon Turner, Annette Britt (Mitchell) and Cecilia Dennis, Brither in laws James Turner(Emily), Robert Turner(Ada), thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a viewing from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco.

Private cremation is entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
