Obituary of Edward Francis Mullins
Edward Francis Mullins, 83, of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Arrowhead Lake in Pocono Lake, died Thursday, April 5, 2018, at his home in West Palm Beach. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Rooney) Mullins, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in the Bronx, New York, he was a son of the late Patrick and Bridie (Reynolds) Mullins.
A proud veteran, Ed served with the U.S. Army and retired as a command sergeant major. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 413 in Pocono Pines and a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by his daughters, Betty Ann and Marge; his brothers, William and James; sister Rose; and several nephews and nieces.
There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 1052 Bear Lake Road, Thornhurst, where Ed was a long-serving usher. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, New York.
