Obituary of Vaughn J. Scott

Vaughn J. Scott, 71, of Pocono Lake, died Friday, April 20, 2018, at home. He was the loving husband of the late Maryann (Fallon) Scott.

Born in Shamokin, he was the son of the late James and Betty (Miller) Scott.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Vaughn served during the Vietnam War. He worked as an operations manager for Pathmark Corp. in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Vaughn was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was very devoted to his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye.

He is survived by his sons: James Scott and his wife, Ginny, of Promised Land; and Vaughn Scott and his wife, Dawn, of Upper Macungie; daughter, Cheryl Scott of Sayreville, New Jersey; sisters: Kathy D’Amato of Old Bridge, New Jersey; and Gail Spade and her husband, Bill, of Morganville, New Jersey; six grandchildren: Corey, Joseph, Janine, Tyler and wife Rebecca, Jimmy and Dean Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Swiftwater.
