Obituary of Harold Jensen

Harold Jensen, 97, of Stroudsburg, formerly of Plattsburgh, New York, died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Gluco Lodge Personal Care Center in Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of the late Marie (Quirino) Jensen.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Halbor and Marie Jensen.

Harold worked for General Motors as an Engineer until his retirement at 55 years old. He skied until he was 90 years old, and traveled the world, where he enjoyed ten world cruises, (62) 60-day cruises, and (71) 30-day cruises. Upon his wife and son's death, Harold moved to the Poconos to be with his daughter-in-law.

He is survived by his son, Paul Jensen of Somerville, New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Diane Jensen of Bushkill; grandchildren; Ian Jensen and his companion, Megan, and Michael Jensen and his wife, Missy; four great-grandchildren; Taylor, Zoey, Brady, and Emmet; and his backgammon partner, Ron Taylor. Harold was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Jensen.

As per Harold's wishes his body has been donated to the Hershey Medical School. A memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in honor of Harold may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 163549, Columbus, OH 43216-3549.
