Obituary of Ann E. Horan

Ann E. Horan, 73, of Tobyhanna, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia with her husband and daughter by her side. She was the loving wife of John Horan, with whom she shared 48 Years of marriage.

Born in Newark and raised in East Orange, New Jersey, she was a loving daughter of the late Gordon and Leona (Phillips) Evans.

After graduating from East Orange High School, Ann started a career at Dun and Bradstreet, moving on to the banking industry, and later managing Treville International, an import company for hair accessories.

Upon moving to Tobyhanna, Ann was very active on the board of Pocono Farms for many years, serving as President at one time. She served on many committees and also operated the clubhouse restaurant in Pocono Farms with her husband.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving daughter, Kimberley Colasante and her husband, Anthony of Philadelphia; stepdaughters: Lisa Mitros of Bradley Beach, New Jersey; and Camille Horan of Long Beach, New Jersey; two cherished grandchildren: Anthony John (AJ) Colasante and Joshua Colasante and one great-grandchild, AJ Colasante.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Evans and a sister, Sally (Evans) Geis.

All are invited to join together for a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 1 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
