Obituary of Barry W. Politi
Barry William Politi, 74, of Tobyhanna, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was the loving husband of Diane Politi. They shared 49 years of marriage.
Born in Yonkers, New York, he was a son of the late Phillip and Muriel (Johnson) Politi. Barry was a proud Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked as a bus driver for Liberty Lines in Yonkers for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Tobyhanna VFW No. 3948 and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his wife, Diane, he is survived by two brothers: Jerry Politi and his wife, Cathy, of North Carolina; and Neil Politi and his wife, Grace, of Long Island, New York; two sisters: Janice Calderon and her husband, Edward, of Yonkers, New York; and Carol Blondon of Ontario, Canada; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Patti Brown of Mount Vernon, New York; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Magee.
There will be a visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m., followed by military honors, at the funeral home.
