Obituary of Michael Patrick Schultz Sr.
Michael P. Schultz, Sr. 73, of Cresco, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital - Monroe Campus in Bartonsville. He was the loving husband of Margaret (DeVita) Schultz, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage this coming August.
Born in Port Huron, Michigan, he was a son of the late Maynard and Catherine (Bauman) Schultz.
After serving in the US Navy, Michael spent his career as supervisor of logistics at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan before retiring. He was a selfless man who put everyone else’s needs ahead of his own, and had a wonderful sense of humor, which never left him, even in failing health. He was of the Roman Catholic faith, and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, as well as a member of the Sons of Italy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Michael Schultz Jr., and his wife, Karen; and Stephen Schultz and his wife, Tammy; brother, Joseph Schultz of Cadillac, MI; sister, Sylvia Stevens of Cadillac, MI; grandchildren: Michael III, Kayla, Stephen, Jr., Allissa, and Ashley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Schultz.
Services will be held at a later date. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
