Obituary of Kevin J. Knecht

Kevin J. Knecht, 26, of Pocono Pines, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Scranton.

Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a loving son of Kirk A. Knecht of Pocono Pines, and Linda A. (Pepia) Knecht of Lancaster.

Kevin graduated in 2009 from Pocono Mountain East High School and later graduated from Northampton County Community College, where he obtained his Associate degrees in Criminal Justice and Social Work. Kevin was currently attending East Stroudsburg University where he was active in many of the school's clubs. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, and listening to music. Kevin was an avid baseball fan and especially loved the New York Yankees. He was a member of the Monroe Beagle Club and liked spending time with his father during the beagle trials.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Daniel Knecht of Pocono Lake, and sister, Katherine Knecht of Mount Pocono. Kevin had a large extended family of many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will sorely miss him.

There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Retreat Premier Addiction Treatment Center, 1170 South State Street, Ephrata, Pa 17522.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
