Obituary of Dorothy Napolitano

Dorothy Napolitano, 85, of Tobyhanna, died Monday, June 11, 2018 at home. She was the loving wife of Carmine J. Napolitano, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Wiess) Fischer.

Dorothy was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Ann’s Church in Tobyhanna, and the Nickels Club in Pocono Country Place.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Stonehill; brother, Robert Fischer and his wife, Jamie; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Jeffrey Jr. Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Burger.

There will be a viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 15 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Rev. Fr. Gregory Loughney will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at St. Ann’s Church, Main Street, Tobyhanna.

A memorial Mass will take place on Monday, Nov. 12 at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Garden City Beach, South Carolina. Interment will follow at the Columbarium at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Garden City Beach, South Carolina.
