Obituary of Gustav Smith

Gustav Smith, 64, of Cresco, died on Saturday, February 18,2012 at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the lovinghusband of Jeannie (Newton) Smith. Born in Germany, he was the son of the late Joseph andCharlotte (Schneck) Smith. Gustav owned and operated Drive Train Service in Linden, NJ.He also worked as an automotive mechanic for Ring Brothers in Newark, NJ and atTruck Parts in Scranton until his retirement. He played soccer for many yearsin Germany and enjoyed playing and watching many other sports. Gustav spentmuch of his free time working with computers, watching sports, golfing, fishingand spending time gardening. In addition to his wife, Jeannie, he is survived by hisdaughter: Joanne Lee and her husband Domenick of Lyndhurst, NJ; twograndchildren: Elizabeth Ann and Gabriella Laura Abbate; a cousin: Mary AnnUrbanski of Westfield, NJ; two sister-in-laws: Joanne Gilroy and Arlene Newton both of Lyndhurst, NJ; andhis best friend of many years: Victor Kolubinskyj and his wife Cindy ofCanadensis. Private cremation was entrusted to the Bolock Funeral Home& Crematory, Inc. in Cresco.
