Obituary of Carmen P. McManus

Carmen P. McManus, 89, of Tobyhanna, died Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. Mary’s Villa in Elmhurst Township. She was the loving wife of A. James McManus with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Manhattan, she was a daughter of the late Armindo and Arolinda (Costello) Perez.

Carmen worked as a secretary for many years with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and was also an active member of the Pocono Farms Womens Club. She was very creative and loved to cook. She also enjoyed working with her hands and was able to do home repair projects and renovations.

In addition to her husband, Carmen is survived by her daughters: Alison McManus of Tobyhanna; Stacy Heyer and her husband, Robert of Huntington Beach, California; Lauren Mackenzie and her husband, Peter of Kauai, Hawaii; grandchildren: Chelsea Brown, Hayley Miller, Kurt Heyer, Nolan Heyer, Bailey Mackenzie and Connor Mackenzie; great-grandchildren: Elijah, Lourdes, and Timothy Brown.

There will be no services at this time. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
