Obituary of Thomas Kreckman

Thomas H. Kreckman, 72, of Canadensis, died on Sunday, February, 19, 2012 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Susan (DeRosa) Kreckman. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of Herbert L. Kreckman of Cresco and the late Helen (Feeney) Kreckman. Thomas served our community as a retired police officer and owned and operated Kreckman Security. He was recently re-elected for his 3rd term as a Pennsylvania State Constable in Barrett, Paradise and Price Townships. He was noticed in the Guiness Book of World Records for having shot the most clay pigeons at the Paradise Shooting Center in Cresco, on September 28, 1975. In addition to his wife and father, he is also survived by three sons: Joseph Kreckman and his wife Bethann of Phoenix, AZ, David Kreckman and his wife Donna of Canadensis, Daniel Kreckman and his wife Amy of Canadensis; a daughter: Linda Simon and her husband Richard of Canadensis; a step son: Robert Richdale and his wife Denise of Jim Thorpe; a brother: Glen Kreckman and his wife Linda of Cresco; Ten grandchildren: Lauren, Cassandra, Ashley, Daniel, Quindallyn, Timmothy, Jordan, Tori, Jacob and Hannah. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, February 22 from 2-4:00 pm and 7-8:30 pm at the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road in Cresco. There will be a service on Thursday, February 23 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barrett Township Fire Department.
