Obituary of Maria C. Capolupo

Maria C. Capolupo, 66, of Scotrun, died Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Monroe in Bartonsville. She was the loving wife of the late James Capolupo.

Born in the Bronx, New York, she was a daughter of the late John and Joan (Egan) Mulligan.

Maria graduated from East Stroudsburg State College. She was an office manager for VIP Photography Studio in Mount Pocono and was an active member of Most Holy Trinity Parish. She was an avid gardener, photographer, and loved long conversations. Maria took pride in completing the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with her large family and many friends.

She is survived by her brothers: John K. Mulligan and his wife, Sarah, of Ramsey, New Jersey; David Mulligan and his wife, Cecilia, of Mahwah, New Jersey; and Joseph Mulligan of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Sisters: Maureen Schmidt and her husband, George, of Midland Park, New Jersey; Patricia Mulligan of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey; Donna Mulligan Patronick of Ringwood, New Jersey; Tara Petrocelli and her husband, Richard, of Cliffside Park, New Jersey; and Jane Mulligan of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Also her beloved friend, Ken Sherman of Mount Pocono. Maria was preceded in death by her brother, Gerard Mulligan.

There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. A blessing service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association, 527 Plymouth Road #415, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
