Obituary of Ronald J. Roberts

Ronald J. Roberts, 55, of Cresco, died suddenly Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at home. He was the loving husband of Kin (Phuah) Roberts, with whom he shared 16 years of marriage and father of Belle Roberts.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was a son of John J. Roberts and Carol J. Blomquist formerly of East Rutherford, New Jersey. 

After Ronald graduated from Becton Regional High School, he became a business man and entrepreneur. He worked for MC² and owned rental properties. A carpenter by trade, he opened and operated RJR Contracting and later started QuikStitch Embroidery in Wind Gap. He was a friend to all and loved his family above all else. He loved his life and lived it to the fullest, enjoying many passions and hobbies, including antique cars and riding his ATV. Ronald was adventurous and loved to try new things and to see new places. Above all else, he was a compassionate and happy soul. Ronald will be remembered for his kind heart and patriotism to his country.

In addition to his wife and daughter, Ronald is survived by his brother: Glen Roberts and his wife, Emily of Mt. Arlington, New Jersey; sisters: Maryellen Prager and her husband, Dr. David Prager of Bethlehem; Janet C. O’Connor and her husband, Bill of Milford, New Jersey; nephews: Erik Roberts, Stephen and Adam Prager, and Ryan O’Connor; nieces: Cierra Roberts, Natalie and Sara Prager, and Kelsey O’Connor; and stepmother: Adele Dempsey of Tobyhanna.   

There will be a viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. The Reverend Father Gregory Loughney will conduct a blessing at 4:30 p.m. Burial will follow on Monday, August 20 at 10:30 a.m. in Cresthaven Cemetery, 750 Passaic Ave, Clifton, New Jersey 07012
