Obituary of Margaret Salak

Margaret Salak, 95, of Mount Pocono died, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Whitestone Care Center in Stroudsburg. She was the loving wife of the late Emmanuel P. Salak, who passed away in 1972.

Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Bodnar) Bzdick.

She is survived by her son, Emmanuel "Buddy" Salak and his wife, Lynn of Henryville; daughter, Suzanne Smith of Mount Pocono; grandchildren, Scott Smith and his fiancée, Sharon; Gary Hartford; Lori Hartford; Elyssa Teter and her husband, Brian; great-grandchildren: Olivia Teter and Leah McLaughlin; as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be a viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 16 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco. Reverend Father Michael Salnicki will perform a Parastas service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Panachida service will take place at 9:15 a.m. Monday, September 17 at the funeral home, with the Divine Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Rt. 940 in Pocono Summit. Burial will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup.
